Single Stage Correction

PRICES FROM £349 INC VAT

Once your car has been cleaned in our wash bay, It comes into the Studio. Where our first port of call is removing any contamination on the paint's surface. The car is then de-tarred and then a clay bar will be used to remove any stubborn iron particles on the surface leaving a smooth surface to correct. Prior to polishing, any plastics and surrounds may be masked off to reduce polish residue. Once we have assessed the paint type and defects on the paintwork, we then select a machine, pad and compound combination that we believe will work best with your car to get the most correction of minor defects and swirling out of a single stage of machine polishing. Once we have achieved the best clarity and gloss, we then wipe down all areas to remove any residue and then apply the agreed coating or protection.

2 Stage Machine Correction

PRICES FROM £549 INC VAT

So you may be thinking, what is the difference between a single-stage correction, and a 2 stage correction? Well, the clue is in the name. The prep is all the exact same but instead of just using one combination of machine, pad and compound …we use 2!

The first stage is for taking out deeper defects and swirling, this is known as the cutting stage. And although this works really well for removing deeper marks, and reducing heavier blemishes, we could not just use a heavy cut and then leave it, as with cutting you tend to find it can leave the paintwork looking a little dull. No worries though, that’s why there is a second stage.

The second stage is refining, this is where we take that lovely fresh layer that we have after cutting away the blemishes, and we refine it, revealing a glossy and deep shine, where the clarity is super clear.

This means that every part of your car's paint gets treated twice, we cut first, then we refine. This package does take longer, but for slightly older, more tired looking cars, or cars with harder paint types such as AUDI, VW, MERC etc, it really does make a difference cutting through some of that deeper swirls and markings.
